2020年主辦會員馬來西亞辦會主題為「優化人民潛力，共享繁榮未來」（Optimizing Human Potential towards a Future of Shared Prosperity），並設定三大優先領域將聚焦於「強化貿易與投資之論述」（Improving the Narrative of Trade and Investment）、「透過數位經濟與科技促進包容性經濟參與」（Inclusive Economic Participation through Digital Economy and Technology）及「驅動創新永續」（Driving Innovative Sustainability）。
