The ROC government thanks President of the Council of ICAO for the invitation to attend ICAO Assembly

Director-General of the Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) Shen Chi, who is leading a delegation from the Republic of China (Taiwan) to the 2013 Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), delivered a letter to President of the Council of ICAO Roberto Kobeh González on September 24, the opening day of the event. In the letter, she thanked President Kobeh for inviting Taiwan to participate in the Assembly and discussed the current development and future outlook of the ROC’s civil aviation sector. She also expressed the ROC’s willingness to “make contributions and strengthen our civil aviation capacity through meaningfully participating in other ICAO meetings, mechanisms and activities.”
That the ROC was invited to attend this year’s Assembly marks an important first step in our efforts to achieve meaningful participation in ICAO. The ROC government will build on this foundation and continue to work toward gaining greater participation in technical and regional meetings, with the aim of ensuring global aviation security and creating a seamless sky.
